How to get your DayZ server listed

Listing is free. The process is different for PC and console servers because only PC servers can be looked up automatically.

PC servers

If your server is public and online, it is already on the list. To take control of the listing:

  1. Create an account and open the claim page.
  2. Search for your server by name or by its IP address and port, then choose "Claim this server".
  3. You'll get a short code. Add it anywhere in the hostname line of your serverDZ.cfg and restart the server.
  4. Within a few minutes the code is detected and the listing becomes yours. You can remove the code from the name afterwards.

Once claimed, you can add a description, a Discord invite, a website link and a banner image. These are what turn a row in a list into a server people actually join, so it's worth taking five minutes to write a good description.

Console servers

Xbox and PlayStation servers can't be queried from outside, so you submit them instead.

  1. Create an account and open the submit page.
  2. Fill in the server name exactly as it appears in game, along with the map, perspective, region and ruleset.
  3. Write a description that explains what makes your server different.
  4. After you submit, your dashboard shows a short review code. Place it somewhere a reviewer can see it, such as your Discord rules channel or website, so we can confirm the server is yours.

Listings are reviewed by hand before they appear. To keep the list free of abandoned servers, you'll be asked to reconfirm your listing from the dashboard every month. Listings that aren't reconfirmed are hidden, and you can restore one at any time by confirming it again.

Getting more attention

A complete listing helps most: a clear description, a Discord link and a banner. If you want extra visibility, featured listings pin your server above the regular list for a week or a month.
